Pool Party

There's nothing better than a hot day, a friend, and a pool.

These girls had a blast.

Gama and Papa

We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Carrier. The time went by way too fast, and we didn't take many pictures.

Leah always needed to know where "Gama and Papa" were at all times. She preferred when they were together. Otherwise, she would always be asking where the other one was.

My Mom and Dad also whipped together this great circus tent for us in a day. I mentioned the idea, and my Dad drew up some plans and took it from there. Thank you! We love it.

Getting Ready

My parents have been having the time of their lives touring all over Europe for the past 8 weeks. They arrive on Tuesday for a week layover...We are so excited to see them.

Since they don't get to visit us very often, we always try to finish a few projects before they arrive. Yesterday, we worked on the playroom downstairs.

The Reveal

It's amazing how changing the way something is presented can make everything seem new. She's been playing with these toys for a long time, and you would never know it from her reaction.

Smoovies

She is a serious, all business, smoothie drinker.

It's a perfect after lunch treat to share with a friend.

Manassas Train Festival

This was the second year we went to the train festival. Grandma & Grandpa Stathis joined us. We had a blast, and it's definitely going to be a family tradition.

We took a ride on the VRE.

She got lots of compliments on her glasses and flower.

Catch Up

May was a blur, and June is going by just as fast. Here are some of the things that have been keeping us busy.

A birthday bash

An obession with shoes

A perfect pizza

Another attempt at gardening

Yummy

As promised, here are some pics from Bob Evans.

Leah started to get a little restless towards the end so I gave her a small plastic butter tub to distract her while we finished eating. A few minutes later she bit into the packaging and shot butter across the table, barely missing David, and splashing it all over the booth divider. It was pretty funny.

Hats

Leah has been really into wearing hats lately.
Here are a couple of shots from today.

I should probably buy her a hat that fits.
She also likes me to tie the cover from her baby car seat around her head like a bonnet. Then she runs to the mirror and laughs at herself.

The Proof

I didn't realize they put a rejected sticker on the windshield. It seems a little harsh.

It will be a sad day when we have to separate these two.
