Dolls

There's been lots of play time on time on the stairs where her toys are placed out of Sarah's reach.

Auntie Em

Emily had a layover in DC that ended up with a night stay at our house. After four trips to the airport, she was able to head back home. We loved having her!

Friends

We've been seeing a lot of these moments around our house lately.

Harris Teeter

A trip to the grocery store wouldn't be complete without a balloon and cookie.

Leah discovered the small carts this last trip, and we had to take one more lap around the store to pick up some milk. When we were done, she put it back with the other carts, despite me urging her to push it next to the store wall.

Miss Sarah

Where has my baby gone?

I cannot believe that I only have a month and a few days before she turns one. I love babies so I'm always a little sad to see them get older.

I also love toddlers so I'm excited to see her little personality continue grow.

Sarah is all over the place now.

Her favorite thing in the world is to climb up the stairs, and I can't believe I don't have a picture of it.

She waits for just the right moment, and then she rushes over to start climbing them as fast as she can, squealing with delight when you try to stop her.

She loves playing peek-a-boo, reading books, taking things in and out of boxes or bags, her bunny, dolls, and waving hello.

I also think she might be lactose intolerant, because she throws up almost every time I give her dairy. Yogurt is the worst. I'm in denial, mainly because I can't imagine a life without cheese and ice cream.

YW's President

I was called a few weeks ago, and things are starting to settle.

During one of our first presidency meetings, Leah and her friend took lots of pictures. These two of Sarah are pretty good.

See those teeth?

Three are showing and a couple more are trying to push through.

Loves to Clean

She looks forward to the chance to scrub something until it shines!

4th of July

We continued on with some of our traditions. Breakfast with the Annandale Ward, homemade icecream, and BBQ. This year we decided to add a new one, small fireworks.

Leah didn't care for them much, and she spent the next two days telling everyone they were too scary for her.

Sarah slept through it all.

Heat Wave

Summers are hot here. I don't mind it too much, since the weather the rest of the time is pretty mild. After Leah enjoyed some time in the inflatable pool. Sarah hated it. We took some pictures of the girls together.

These represent their relationship pretty well. Leah mothering Sarah, and Sarah doing her best to tolerate it.
