December Highlights

December is always magical.

Setting up the decorations.

The girls dressed up as Mary one day as part of the advent calendar from Leah's preschool teacher.

A sleepover at Lisa's house.

The first of many, many snowstorms.

Anna is always smiling for the camera.

Preschool Christmas party making gingerbread houses.

Friend gift exchange.

All the little ladies of the house hanging out on the top bunk.

 Christmas dresses.

Carrier and Stathis Gingerbread houses. Can you guess who's is who?
Back row (L-R) Emily, Traci, and Leah
Front row: David, Lisa, and Sarah

Leah found this visor and asked, "Mom, is this from when you worked at McDonalds?"
BTW: She is wearing her pajama pants as a shawl.

Christmas morning is always so fun.

The Lake House

Thanksgiving at the lake is always relaxing and memorable. Aunt Linda joined us for the third year in a row, and it was really nice to see her. The first time she joined us Sarah wasn't much bigger than Anna.

Thanksgiving Preschool Program

It was pretty much the most adorable thing ever.

Leah was so sweet. It was easy to know that the music teacher had instructed them to keep their eyes on her by looking at Leah. She looked at the teacher the entire time.

The costumes were so cute and the songs were fun too.

Her class dressed up as pilgrims.

Sarah is looking forward to preschool next year and was so excited to support her sister.

The three amigos. I love how Sarah in most pictures is looking up at the older kids.

After Emily saw this picture she said to me, "Leah is so stylish!" I said, "She's wearing a pilgrim costume." We laughed. It's true Leah manages to make a pilgrim costume look good.

Family pic. Oh hey, Anna! She was as happy the entire time. She has such a good temperament.

Easter

We spent the Saturday before Easter with David's parents.  The girls loved the Easter egg hunt, and I just love the look on their faces as they race to get them.

It was just the two of them so there were plenty to go around.

If they found an egg that the other person liked (Sarah's favorite colors are blue and yellow and Leah likes pink and purple) they would give the egg to that person.

Christmas

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning were nice this year. David's parents spent the night so they could be here bright and early when the girls woke up.

We dressed up for the Nativity on Christmas eve, opened presents in the morning, and had a nice breakfast with homemade cinnamon rolls.

We spent the rest of the day playing with gifts and some of us rested.
