Annandale Ward 40th Anniversary Celebration
The ward David grew up in had a party last weekend.

There was a lot of work and planning that went into the event, and it turned out fabulous. Steve wrote a history, and Barbara and David worked on a DVD with 500 pictures (all captioned).
It was fun to be able to meet some of the people that worked with David over the years.

New Skills and Favorites

Some things Leah likes to do: scoot, clap, play peek-a-boo, move objects from hand to hand, bang things together, unzip her sweater, undo the velcro on her shoes, take off her socks, pull hair (especially blond hair, mostly on her friend Annie), clutch her hands together and scowl when she doesn't get her way or wants something, furl her brow when she sees something new or is trying to figure something out, be held upside down, walks, being outside
Favorite things: pink bunny lovey, monkey, puppy, books, keyboards, phones, keys (she has her own set with only key chains now, since she always wanted my keys)
Favorite foods: Shredded cheddar cheese, applesauce, bread, ritz crackers, cheerios
We love her so much!

Introduction to Manassas
We've been living in Manassas Park, or "the park" for awhile now.
Here are a few things I love.
The water towers: Each city has their own, and they look so beautiful sitting on top of a hill full of trees. There are three that I see on a regular basis on the road heading home.

Old Town Manassas: It's very quaint. There is an old bookstore, a couple of barber shops, and a candy shop. They have festivals on a regular basis, and during the summer there is a small farmers market on the weekends.

It's history: The battle of bull run or the first battle of Manassas, as the confederates called it, happened here. This was the first major land battle of the civil war.

We love visitors, and we have an extra room and bathroom.
You'll just have to coordinate schedules with my Mom. She always has first dibs. We are looking forward to her upcoming visit. She arrives on Monday.
