Train

Every once in awhile when the girls are ready early, we load up the baby strollers in the car, and I let them walk up to the train platform to meet David.

When the train blows its whistle, Leah covers her ears and Sarah squeals, laughs, and stomps her feet up and down in delight.

As soon as the train stops and people start to get off, Sarah waves frantically to make sure she says hi to each passenger. It's adorable.

As soon as Sarah sees David, she yells hi Daddy, turns the stroller quickly around, and starts heading back to the car. Leah begins telling him immediately about her day, "um, Daddy, Daddy, um Sarah and me..."

A daily occurence

You'll usually find us a few times a day here with one or two friends. It's nice having a park so close to our house.

Natural

Leah loves to shop, and the shoe aisle is always her favorite place to browse. Without any help from me she manages to find just the right size in the style she likes.

Mount Vernon

Leah and I were invited to join a friend to visit Mount Vernon. We had a great time in the kids hands-on section. There were dress up clothes, a Mt. Vernon doll house, and a coloring station.

Race

Lisa ran in the D.C. Cherry Blossom half marathon. We made the trek in to see her, which ended up being rather difficult. There were about 15,000 runners, and lots of people there to see them.

The girls loved it, and we were proud of Lisa!
Leah loved the metro and sitting by Grandma.

Cheese!

Despite looking very carefully all of us missed Lisa running by.

Reunited after looking through the sea of runners for Lis.

I think Sarah wants the medal.

Sarah Neeley

18 months really snuck up on us. Where did the time go? Seriously!

Sarah is such a funny girls, as you can see from the pictures.

She loves baby dolls. Loves them. Baby was one of her first words, right after Mama and Dada.

She's a juiceaholic. The first thing she asks for when she wakes up is juice and then Leah.

She sleeps from 6:30pm until 6:30am and takes one nap at 1 o'clock.

She's a good eater, and usually eats twice as much as her sister.

She has a really funny sense of humor. She likes to joke and tease and laugh.

She can stick up for herself, and she's not afraid to stand up to Leah even if that means a few time outs for hitting.

Her mumbles are starting to sound like actual words now. Mama, Dada, Baby EEah, No, Yes, Night Night, Bunny, Papa, Gama, Please, Sophie, Bath, and some others.

She adores Leah and mimics her constantly. Leah will get a scratch and Sarah says Boo Boo and points to the same spot on her body.

She doesn't throw fits often, but when she does watch out. They are good!

She loves to help and will clean up toys and follow commands. With David's broken ankle, she's been bringing him pillows and always shows concern when someone talks about it.

We love you Sarah! You've made the past 18 months a piece of cake.

Big Girl Carseat

She is loving being able to see out the front.

Of course, now we can't squeeze someone between the two carseats in the back.

A bigger vehicle is in our imminent future, and I'm actually looking forward to having the extra space.
