Nine Months of Pure Joy

I know I've said this many times before, and it's the absolute truth. Sarah is such a sweet, happy baby, especially for her Mommy.

At nine months Sarah:

- loves to sleep. She'll take a long morning nap sometimes 3 1/2 or 4 hours. She sleeps all night from 7 to 5:30am, when she gets up to eat, and then she's back down until Leah wakes her up at 7:30.

- crawls and is very content for hours crawling, playing with some toys (she loves the remote), sitting up, and crawling again

- is very smiley, and she has such a huge grin. I love getting her after a nap when I open the door and see her sitting in her crib smiling back at me

- likes to clap and hear noises, like banging, snapping, clapping and she makes clicking noises with her mouth

- waves bye-bye intermittently

- is very patient with her sister, even when Leah tries to ride her like a horsey, take her toys or love on her too much. She also smiles really big when Leah says, "Good Morning Sarah.

- kicks her legs a lot when she is excited

- is adventurous and curious. She loves climbing over legs and is starting to pull herself up on everything

- eats lots of fruits and veggies, but she doesn't care much for rice cereal, oatmeal or formula. She loves oranges and grapes

We love her so much, and we can't imagine life without her.

Play Ball

It was gorgeous here on Saturday so we all loaded up and headed to Eastern Market before going to Lisa's softball game.

Leah sat with the team in the dugout. Sarah ate oranges and grapes before she fell asleep. David and I had fun remembering when he used to play. It was always so fun going to his games, and I wish the girls could see him play.

After the double header, we headed to Lisa's house for a BBQ.

Sarah had so much fun she ended up throwing up all over my Mom towards the end of the day, and we decided to head home.

Rain

I think this was one of the Hershey Park highlights for Leah.

Hershey Park

We took a quick road trip to Hershey Park. Even though it rained, we still had a chance to go on a few rides, see critters at the zoo and watch a tap show.

We stayed the night and both the girls did really good at the hotel. I was worried about putting them to sleep in the same room. It helped that they were really exhausted.

Visitors

My parents are out for a highly anticipated two-week visit. They've settled right in even though its only been a day.

Leah's been showing them all her things. This afternoon when they were downstairs, my Mom commented, "Leah you put a blanket in your tent." She looked and then quickly corrected her by saying, "No. That's an octagon." Well, yes it is an octagon too.

Happy Birthday to You!!!

We had a fun celebration on Saturday with party hats, cupcakes, and a treasure hunt for the kids.

Leah picked out the present to give her cousin by herself and practiced singing happy birthday all week. We will all miss her cousins when they move to Arizona this week.

Mother's Day

"Perhaps the reason we respond so universally to our mothers’ love is because it typifies the love of our Savior." - Bradley D. Foster, Quorum of the Seventy

Crawling

It started about a week ago, and she's becoming quite good at it.

Grocery Shopping

I'm so glad these two can sit in the cart together now. One day I'll document a typical conversation between the two.

A Glimpse

I like spending time at home. If I have too many activities planned for the week, it stresses me out. I try to have at least one day where we stay home and do things like this together.
