Baby!!

Leah loves hugging, kissing, and holding babies. So naturally she insisted on holding her cousin, who isn't really a baby anymore and is about the same size as her. It was so cute to watch, and look at that grip. She's a natural.

I have a feeling she's going to want to hold her new little sis (also appearing in the picture) all of the time.

Annapolis

David and I were able to take a quick weekend getaway to Annapolis this weekend, while Leah played with Grandma & Grandpa Stathis and Aunt Lisa. Thank you!!!

We had a great time walking the cobblestone streets at night, touring the Naval Academy, taking a boat tour of the Chesapeake, eating crab cakes and fish and chips, sleeping in, watching movies, shopping without having to worry about the time, and most importantly enjoying each others company.

We forgot the camera at home, which was just as well. We could take in the sights filing them to our memory bank without having to worry about snapping a bunch of photos.

Here are a few I grabbed from the Internet.

Annapolis is really quite charming, and it's within an hour and a half drive from our house. It was the perfect weekend retreat.

Pigtails

My friend Penny takes the best pictures. These are a couple that she took this week. I'm loving the pigtails lately.

We need to schedule an official photo shoot with her soon. Leah should be ready to give a big cheesy grin to show off her new teeth. She now has all four front teeth, two bottom teeth, and one molar.

30 Days and Counting

Only a few weeks left until we get to meet baby girl #2. We haven't taken many picturse this go around. We are just as excited though.

New Door and Groundhogs

We got a new front door installed this week. Unfortunatly, the size is wrong so we have to wait for Home Depot to order a new one. In the meantime, we have a temporary one with a very large sidelight. Home Depot was absolutely great to work with and quickly resolved the issue with no additional charge to us.

We also have a groundhog that has decided to make a home under our front porch. We are working on getting it to move elsewhere...but it keeps coming back. Ick!

The Red Bucket

...has provided hours of entertainment this summer. When she gets tired of carrying it around, she just sits inside and takes a quick break.

A slight obsession with shoes

She is in to them all...Dress up shoes, sunday shoes, sandals, sneakers, Mommy's shoes, Daddy's shoes, the neighbors shoes.

So naturally when Aunt Lisa let her try on shoes at Target and pick out a pair. She choose two pairs, including these adorable sandals.

When I'm picking things up at the end of the day, I usually end up with a pile like this on the stairs.

Fireworks and Family

Everyone came to our house on the 4th for dinner and fireworks. We had a blast, and David made homemade vanilla icecream.

4th of July Breakfast

The cousins came for a visit from Arizona this year.

So naturally all of us Virginia folks spent as much time with them as possible. Here are some pictures from the Annandale Ward Breakfast.
