Things She Tolerates

There are also a few things that she used to really dislike. Now, she tolerates them and hopefully will soon learn to enjoy them.

Tummy Time: I know most babies don't like tummy time. Leah didn't mind it too much, but she also didn't like either.

Bath time: My Mom said my siblings and I all loved bath time. Maybe, Leah will begin to enjoy it more. Right now she doesn't cry every time so we're moving in the right direction.

It's Official

We closed this weekend on our first home. We are thrilled and excited to get it ready for us to move in. We are so happy with the purchase. We've been casually looking for the last couple of years, and when we found this place we both felt really good about it. One of the features we loved was the guest room in the basement with a full bath. That's great news for our visitors who won't have to sleep on an air matress in our one-bedroom apartment.

The townhouse is on a cul-de-sac, so we won't get a lot of traffic. There is a family a few townhouses down with three girls. They just brought home a baby yesterday. We are looking forward to getting to know new people and making the house our own. (That's our realtor in the picture.)



We absolutely love the view from the deck off of the kitchen. We are looking forward to using it a lot this summer.

Long or Short

My hair is in between stages right now, and I need to make a decision. Should I grow it out long again or cut it short? Right now it hits my shoulder and flips no matter what I do.

I grew my hair out while Lisa was serving a mission in the Philippines. When she came home, she cut almost 13 inches off. It was a little too long. Lisa happens to be living very close to me at the moment. So I thought I would take advantage of the last few weeks she'll be here and do something with my locks.

Resemblance

People always ask if Leah looks more like her mom or her dad. Honestly, I think she's a good mix. Anyone know much about genetics?

I think she has David's eye shape, my eye color, David's ears, my hair (although David has plenty of hair too...see next post), my nose, and my mouth. Throw a little bit of aunts, uncles, and grandparents in there and voila...you get a beautiful baby who looks completely unique.
