It's your birthday

We had a couple parties for Sarah this year. She is such a sweetie, and she absolutely loved both celebrations!

Lake Monocan

It was awesome. There was a huge trampoline and climbing wall in the water, Paddle Boats, Volleyball, Horseshoes, and, of course, lots of sand.

Bear House

We loved our week away at the Bear House in Wintergreen, VA. We lounged, played games, went to the pool and lake, and took a couple trips to Charlottesville.

Monticello

Happy, Happy Birthday!!

We've been celebrating for about a week now, and we will continue the celebration well into the coming weekend.

The best gift arrived today when her two teeth finally broke through after a week of pain. We had our sweet girl back with all her smiles, waves, and kisses.

The Best Day

Yes. That's our car. It's being pushed by an FBI agent across Pennsylvania Ave in DC with a nice gentleman at the wheel.

I had just picked up the girls from Lisa and Lauren who took them to get frozen yogurt and lunch. Read this hilarious recap.

I went maybe a block when the hood started to steam, and I lost all power.

I coasted to the side of the road and called David.

Before I could explain what happened, a security guard was telling me I had to move. Okay, how exactly should I do that with a car that won't start and two girls strapped in the back.

In the next five minutes, David leaves work. Lisa and Lauren happen to walk by on their way back to work and take the girls. A stranger offers to steer my car. The FBI agents push the car away from FBI Headquarters. Lisa leaves to get her car.

Before long, AAA arrived with a tow. David arrived from the metro, and Lisa came with her car.

As we followed the tow truck to the auto shop, I saw a car stalled on the side of the freeway, and I felt so blessed that I broke down where and when I did. I'm so thankful for all the help I received.

Yes, it was a hassle. It was also pretty awesome for a breakdown.
